Born in the wake of the great inquisition, fearing the great power the masses of the Kine displayed when driven by faith. The Camarilla is a strict and rigid organization enforcing a policy of non disclosure. Anarchs exist on the fringes of Camarilla society. The Sabbat is a collection of fierce, fanatical vampires who believe that the Kindred need not hide behind the Masquerade. These are some of the many sects of the vampire world

About the Game
The Sects: The majority of vampires are loyal to one of several sects, which are strongly clan-oriented but primarily political entities. These sects trace their history back to 16th century Europe and the Convention of Thorns which ended the Anarch Revolt. The Sabbat are the descendants of those Anarchs, while the Camarilla are the signatories to the convention. The two sects have been mortal enemies ever since, although the difference is blurred at the higher levels and lower generations.

Sabbat

A sect formed by vampires who were dissatisfied with the results of the Convention of Thorns, which broke the back of the Anarch Revolt.

Anarchs

Image:Camarach.png
Anarchs exist on the fringes of Camarilla society, often literally. They occupy the areas of the city where the Toreador and Ventrue never visit - the slums, industrial zones, rundown suburbia

Independents

Image:Vampklubwerks.png
Vampires who roam the wilds and pace the cities of the Final Nights alone, either because they refuse to kowtow to the vampiric powers-that-be, because they are afraid of what they will become if they keep the company of other vampires, or simply because they prefer solitude.

The Clans: A Clan is a large group of vampires joined by blood relations. Each clan is particularly gifted in three of the vampiric Disciplines and also possesses a specific weakness that is unique to them. Each clan within a domain may provide a representative, called a Primogen, to attend the prince's advisory council (this is usually the eldest and most powerful member of the clan).

It is assumed that each clan descended from a single progenitor, called Antediluvians, who passed to each of his descendants, or childer, his unique gifts and flaws. Tt is also assumed that each of these Antediluvians came from a single source: commonly accepted to be Caine, the first murderer of biblical notoriety.

Brujah

Image:Cam-brujah.png
The Brujah are either intelligent, politically active Brujah (many of which are fiery and outspoken among the vampires society) or raging, angry counter-culture Brujah that most other vampires think of when they try to picture a member of the Clan. Brujah are known for their fiery and often violent tempers.

Gangrel

Image:Cam-gangrel.png
The Gangrel are nomads who hold closer ties to the wild places than most of their city-bound cousins. They are also closer to the animal aspect of the Beast and masters of the Protean Discipline. They were one of the seven founding clans of the Camarilla, but became disillusioned with the sect, becoming an independent clan.
