Appearance

Tall and lanky, leaning on wooden cane, and dressed in clothing that might strike one as outlandish on a day other than Hallowe'en. Her face is often caked with dark makeup and a cigarette is nearly always clenched between her lips. Her short hair seems to have been dyed many colours, and can't quite make up its mind, but she often lets it go for months at a time and the fading colours just blend together into a reddish mess. There's something not quite right about her, whether it be that she looks intensely into the eyes of anyone who addresses her, or that she'll hold a solid, unchanging expression on her face for hours at a time, is hard to say.

Her long legs are always covered by a pair of stockings, as though she were the pornographic version of some swedish folk-hero. She walks with a limp, even with her walking stick, and her joints pop and creak jarringly as she moves.

Either under her arm or at the end of a shiny red leash is an adorable, tiny goat, who is happy and friendly and just jarringly opposite his owner.

But that smile... Oh god, that smile. If it doesn't send a chill up your spine, maybe you haven't got a soul.

Recent History

The following is not common IC knowledge.

Adelaide entered Oklahoma city accompanied by her sire, Nate, and great-grandsire Walter. She quickly gained the friendship of several of the kinder kindred, most notably Sapphire and Gideon Marsh of clan Malkavian, and just as quickly gained the ire of the city's royal caste (Especially the then-prince Cynric), whom she considers to be narcissists, liars and thieves. Even still, she remains loyal to Camarilla law, whether to protect herself or simply avoid attention. Her sire quickly wandered off, as he is apt to do.

Prior to that, she spent two decades traveling, sometimes alone and sometimes with Walter, who, despite his cold demeanor, she considered to be the only person in her life, or undeath, to treat her like a human being.

When Walter was apparently murdered within the city walls, she set about investigating his death, and withdrawing quietly from the public eye. She has since made the connection that lead her to discovering Walter's murderer. When Walter reappeared and was subsequently diablorized by Lantash Nortmann, she found that she had a new enemy. So many to kill, so little time.

With few friends in the Camarilla, and even fewer outside of it, she feels it is her duty now to avenge the death of her role model.

Common Knowledge

During the mid-to-late 1980s, Adelaide 'the White-Collar Bomber' committed a series of ever-increasing violent acts, up to and including bombing several civilian office buildings. She was found not guilty by reason of insanity thanks to a high-profile attorney. She spent several months in an institution before she was embraced by her sire, Nate, at the behest of his grandsire, Walter. Aside from the noticeable press she received during the late 80s during the investigation and subsequent trial surrounding her case, there's surprisingly little public information available on who she was or where she came from, though many experts believe that she saw herself as a hero to the downtrodden.

Recently a book was published on serial criminals, 'The Science of Psychopaths' by K. R. Knight, which included excerpts from Adelaide's personal diary, found at the former site of the Setting Sun Psychological Hospital outside of Seattle, WA, which burned down, supposedly taking everyone inside with it in 1989.

The Goat

At some point during Adelaide's absence from the bi-weekly gatherings of the local court, a daemon was seen, fought, and subsequently defeated. This daemon used the symbol of the goat, as well as Adelaide's dying image, in order to intimidate and manipulate his antagonists. When Adelaide reappeared, quite healthy, she appeared stronger, more confident, and carrying a baby goat under her arm. No explanation has been offered, and in fact several of the locals have taken it upon themselves to antagonize the animal.

Of course, it's just a goat as far as anyone has been able to ascertain - Either it is a coincidental happenstance, or perhaps further manipulation on the part of the daemon. Only the goat knows for certain.
